CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night
W'hen the Hon. A. M. Myers was about to go to lunch to-day, a deputation from various Women's Societies waited upon him concerning the Defence Act. Speaker lafter speaker stated her views? emphatically. Tho Minister suggested that he. be allowed to reply. He 'had, he said, engagements in the afternoon./ and wanted five minutes for lunch.
