AUCKLAND, Last Night. A telegram sent to Mr Massey by t;hc Premier in regard to the alleged statement made by Mr ,Mass«v that a Mackenzie could always be bought, iuis been received by tlie- Opposition leader. "I sent a courteous telegram to the Prime Minister, asking for his auit;hor% for iliis statement.said Mr Massey this evening, "and in. reply Sbo has sent me an offensive and insulting telegram. It has given a public glimpse of the- Prime Minister in li'is true colours, and I am satisfied to leave tlie matter until we m>eet in Parliament."
