CANADIAN LADY ILL-TREATED
MEXICO CITY ALARMED.

A Canadian lady travelling in Mexico was robbed by bandit©, who ©top- 1 ped the train she was travelling in. The bandits beat her on the .soles of the feet in order to make her disclose the whereabouts of jewels she was supposed to be carrying. The British Minister has beeoi informed of the outrage. The bandits killed the train conductor. The situation in Mexico City is serious, and the American colony is armed with rifles.
