SIR JOSEPH WARD AGAIN.
i When Mr John Redmond asked Sir I Joseph Ward for lira opinion on the [ Home ;Rule Bill, he Avas .probably not aware" that Sir Joseph Ward represented nothing more in tins-Dominion than a small majority of the electors of Awarua. The discredited politician, however; took no .steps to advise the Leader of the Nationalist Party that he no longer held Cabinet rank in New .Zealand. He cabled straight away that he strongly approved of the Home Rule Bill, which, he- thought would settle the Irish question and contribute enormously to the solidarity of the Empire. Sir Joseph Ward is entitled -to his own opinion on this subject, and is quite justified in expressing it. But it w,as bis- duty, in the .-circumstances, to have explained that he Avats no longer Prime Minister lrf this country, and consequently was not voicing the opinion of either Cabinet or the people. The Hon. T. Mackenzie will doubtless resent the snub ihe has received, from Mr Redmond and Sir Joseph Ward.
