SEVENTY MEN ENTOMBED

TEN RESCUED ALIVE

NEW YORK. March 26

At Welch, -West Virginia, an explosion occurred at the mine of the Jed Coal and Coke Company. Seventy .miners are entombed. Ten were rescued alive, and one was got out dead. Strong hopes are entertained that tho remaining men entombed will be rescued alive.
