AMUSEMENTS

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES, Another large audience greeted the new programme at the Foresters' Hall last evening. There were a variety of dramas presented, the best being "Before Yorktown" (a capital military subject 2000 feet long), and "The Attack on the Gold Escort." Of a line lot of comedies, "Men were Deceivers Ever" and "Mae's Suitors" were the most popular. "Springtime Flowers" was a beautifully coloured picture. This splendid programme will be shown at the matinee this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, and again this evening. Monday's programme will include the great convict drama, "The Assigned Servant," a picture 3000 feet long.
