A LAND TRANSACTION

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. An important case has occupied the Supreme Court for three days, ifi which M. iC. Robinson proceeded against- Henry Sanson junr. for specific performance of an in exchange of farm lands, one being an island off Tauranga, . Mr- Bell, K.C., and Mr Roy appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Skerrett, K.C., and Mr Spence for defendant. ' It was alleged that- the defendant; had agreed to exchange a farm at Stratford for 8000 acres on Mataltana Island, and subsequently rescinded the agreement, alleging fraudulent misrepresentation.- ■ The olaintiff bought the land for 12s 6d "an acre, aud sold it to the defendant at £3 10s per acre. It is expected that the evidence will finish tomorrow, ajid counsel's address will be taken in Wellington at an early date.
