MOTOR FATALITY
ONE LADY KILLED.
ANOTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED.

AUCKLAND, Last Night. A fatal motor accident occurred at f> o'clock this morning, and resulted in Mrs Prouse, of Manganui, being killed, and Mrs Jordan, wife of Canon Jordan (Mayor of Taiiranga), being seriously injured. Both ladies, who were sisters, were on a visit to relatives. The ladies were crossing the road at the time, when a motorcar, driven by Mr Garnet Campbell, came along, and knocked them down, throwing Mrs Jordan aside, and running over Mrs Prouse. Mrs Jordan sustained a broken arm, three broken ribs, and a cut on the head, besides being severely bruised. She now lies in the hospital, in a serious condition.
