COST OF LOANS.
It was very dignified of the Prime Minister to tell the House yesterday that some of liis critics knew as much about raising loans as his foot-- did. This sort of language is becoming, indeed/ But what an extraordinary thing it was foi', .&'r Joseph Ward to state that a letter received from the High Commissioner, in reFeT'enGC. to the raising of a loan in 1910, iuul only lately been seen by him. Equally unfortunate was his statement- that it was only when he saw the possibilities in connection with the closeness of parties that he had given instructions for all papers relating to loans io hj& liud before the House. This is tantaurioiiht to an admission that in the past lie lias withheld information which should be in the possession, of the Housie. This fact was emphasised by the Reform Party at the recent polls, but was indignantly denied by Ministerialists. The truth is out at last. I
