The Committee appointed to investigate the charges of alleged breach of privilege, which arose over the Payne episode in the House, practically reported that the whole matter should be allowed to drop. The House rightly agreed to this course being .pursued. At a period of extreme tension, Mr Massey committed a technical error, and ho apologised to the House for having done so.
