A school committee in the Auckland 1 district has resolved!: * 'That tMs committee, being opposed to militarism, declines to .grant the application of the defence authorities for the use of the schooL for the training of Territorials." How any committee can refuse the use of a school on the ground that its individual members entertain certain views on the question of (military training, is difficult to understand. Possibly the Auckland Education Board, in whom the schools are vested, will have ; -someto say ia-4lie .matter. ! ,
