MR W. A. VEITCH.
From a Wanganui telegram appearing in this issue, it. will foe seen that Mr W. A. Veitch, M.l'., has been unanimously requested by his committee to adhere to hi 9 pledge to vote against the, Ward, Administration. Unless Mr Veiteh is prepared to commit political suicide, therefore, his vote must go with Mr Massey. The result of the division, which may be-taken to-night, may be said to rest with the member for Nelson—Mr Atmore. In view of the probable retirement of Sir Joseph Ward, and the handing over of the reins of office to a body of land nationalizes, it is confidently expected that Mr Atmove, who i.s an ardent freeholder, wi.il vote with the 'Reform Party. If this should happen, Mr Mp.ssqj* eould afford to lose both Mr and Mr Robertson, and still a majority of one.
