HOMING PIGEON CLUB

FIRST YOUNG BIRD RACE. The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club commenced tho season's young bird races yesterday, with a fly from Pahiatua. Fourteen lofts wero represented by seventy-six birds, and the birds, having a favourable wind, a. splendid velocity resulted. The winner proved to be Mr A. Miller's' "Splints," which coA-er the distance of 36 miles airline in 41 minutes. The other hirds were in close attendance. Following is the result: — Mr A.
