PARLIAMENT.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) , WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m., and immediately adjourned, owing to the no-confidence debate which is proceeding.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Tho Houso met at 2.30 p.m. WORKERS DWELLINGS. The Minister of Laborer, in answer to Mr Glover, said that under the Workers' dwellings scheme, _73 houses were in course of construction A largo number of further applications had been received, but it would be too expensive to allow the applicants to select single sites. The limit of six applications must be adhered to otherwise the cost of supervision and collection would be too great. Altogether 12G applications had been received under the present system, and he hoped by the end of the year 250 houses would bo erected and occupied.
