AN AMUSING INCIDENT.
The railway servants of Taranaki can be excused ifor following the lead that has been given them by Auckland Labourites. Taranaki. in its desire for the loaves and fishes, sent the Hon. T. Mackenzie to Parliament. And at least one portion of Taranaki is biting its fingers just now.. The vote of "Mr Veitch, M.P., will'-decide whether Taranaki will retain its Minister—and possibly its Premier. So it happens that the railway servants, acting' on"" their own volition, of course, have asked Mr Veitch to vote against Mr Massey's no-confidence motion, and thus save Taranaki from disappointment and despair. The move is a very cunning one; but it is doomed to failure.
