THE ROMNEY FAIR.

The experiment made .by. the New Zealand Romney Marsh Breeders' Association in .holding a. special Romney fair, at which the pick of the stud rams of the Dominion were judged and offered for sale, has proved eminently .successful. The advantage of the fair is that it enables breeders to compare the different types, and to purchase according to their individual ideas. It is .probable that the example set by the Romney Breeders' Association will be followed by other institutions of the kind, so that each year may see a special attraction at the local show and ram fair. The idea has been borrowed from the Old Country, where special fairs are held in the different Counties.
