AMUSEMENTS

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. A large audience greeted the current programme ox' pictures at the Foresters' H'all last evening. The star production was the great military drama, "The Seige of Calais," in which 2500 men take part. It was a capital picture, the most careful attention having been given to every detail. Another splendid drama was "A Christmas Carol," an adaptation of Dickens'. famous story. The remainder of the., series of subjects was of a high order, and higldy appreciated by those present. The children's matinee will take place at 2.30 o'clock this afternoon.
