MISS MARIE BAINES.
Miss Marie Baines, a bright and clever comedienne of English fame,'| will play a one night season at the Town Hall in Masterton to-night, when she will produce the two-abt merriment-maker, ' 'Miss Lancashire, ! Limited." The pieco has seured ah. instantaneous success wherever it has been produced, simply because it relies upon the humours of its ' situar tions to create one unceasing'peal of laughter. Naturally most of the comedy work falls to Miss '.Baines, but she is supported by a strong company of English artists, twelve in all, who were specially selected for' this tour. The mission of the play" is frankly to interest and amuse, and , how it succeeds may be gathered by a reference to the criticisms of the metropolitan and country press. The performance will commence punctually at 8 o'clock, and terminate at 10.30.
