AGRICULTURAL COLLEGES.
When the local bodies of the Wairarapa met some (months ago and passed a resolution that it was desirable that tlie system of education should be extended so that agricultural collegos might be established, they felt that they were expressing a wish of a largo section of the community. The Minister for Agriculture was written to, and asiked if he would receive a deputation on the subject. He replied that he could not do so at the time, and he . has carefully refrained from doing so. since the elections. Wte now find the Prime Minister, in his appeal for an extended term of office, stating that "special provision will be made for the development, of agricultural colleges." If he* is sincere, why was the announcement not made before the elections?
