He. have nothing to say about the report of. our. contemporary, other than' that the impression it conveyed has been disclaiihed by the; President of the Association. Our contemporary also makes .an explanation in which it suggests that the "reporters" were mistaken. In this connection we wish it distinctly understood -that the reporter/;of the ' 'Age" made no mistake. : The report, as it appeared in this paper, made Mr Cooper state that it-had.been'-"suggested" that the poll-tax be removed. • That this report is substantially -correct is borne out by. tho statement of the President. <
