THE LATEST.
The latest political information comes from Invercargill. It is to the effect that should Mr Massey assume the reins of office (as probably he will) the member.for Lyttelton (Mr Laurenson) will move a vote of no-confi-dence in the new Government. The "Southland News" says that this will be carried, and that Mr Lauren son, as representing the advanced section of the Liberals, will be sent for by the Governor. Good gracious! Imagine the member for Lyttelton, who is an out-and-out land nationalizer, being asked to form a Government in a House which has two-thirds of its members pledged to the freehold! The suggestion is altogether too ridiculous. The very first division would send (Mr Laurenson about bis business. But then, Mr Laurenson would have attained the summit of his ambition, and would go to the country as a red-hot Radical Premier!,
