TERRITORIAL NOTES
2nd Battalion, 9th Wellington - East Coast Regiment.— Headquarters at Masterton. The Wellington-East Coast Regiment has been divided into two Battalions. The "irst Battalion, which is commanded by Lieut.-Colonel Hislop, will have its headquarters at Napier, and the Second Battalion, commanded by Major A. B. Charters, will have its headquarters at Masterton. The Second Battalion will comprise eight Companies, viz.: — A Company, Woodville, Lieut. Wardrop; B Company, Dannevirke, Captain Davidson ;.C Company, Masterton, Lieut. Haslam; D Company, Featherston, Lieut. Saunders; "E Company, Lower Hutt, Captain Ross; F. Company, Carterton, Major Skey; G Company, Pahiatua, Captain Osborne-Lilly ; H Company, Petone, Lieut. Rundle. Captain George W. Braddell, New Zealand Staff Corps, is appointed Adjutant to the Battalion; SergeantMajor Domney to be Regimental Ser-geant-Major ; and Corporal Coffey, R.N.Z. Artillery, to be Quartermaster Sergeant. The Battalion will he drawn from areas 20, 27, 28, which in all probability will form a separate group.
