FRITCH-HASTINGS RECITALS
"Hamlet" is just- now in the air. ' The inimitable Irving lias portrayed Shakespeare's masterpiece in drama. | The Fritch-Hastings Company, which appears in the Masterton Town Hall ion Wednesday and Thursday next, I will reveal the soul of "Hamlet" in an inspirational recital. The Company will go further. While it will I reveal the mind, and spirit, and pathos of Shakespeare, it will also treat the public to recitals from other great artists. Mr Wilson Fritcli is an elocutionist of immense versatility and magnetic force. The American newspapers speak of him as a world's artist. The "Boston American," for says ."lie. has; a philosophic calm or.manner which is more than repose. But it is his voice, which you .remember longest. , It is a wonderful voice, low, sweet, clear, distinct, vibrant and flexible, - falling and rising in musical cadence which Calms and soothes .. .and fascinates." The programme to be presented in Masterton will be a literary gem. It will include Oliver Wendell Holmes' i "The Boys," Riley's "An Oid Sweetheart of Mine," Bracken's "Not Understood," and Shakespeare's great' masterpiece "Hamlet." Miss Helen 1 Hastings, who has also a world repu- • tntion, Will, recite "Christmas at the Trimble's," "Jean Val Joan," etc., and will appear with M.r Fritcli in "The Balcony Scene," from- "Romeo • and Juliet," in "Love in the Square," | and in '"Hamlet." The whole entertainment will be a literary treat, which should attract a bumper house. • particularly as the prices are popu- , lar. The box plan will be opened this morning at the Dresden.
