The ;Federal Government has rightly refused military aid, at this juncture,, to wssist in maintaining order in Brisbane; There is no evidence that the strike is likely to develop onto an insurrection, or that the police, with the aid of special constables, are unable to restore order. To call out the military in existing circumstances would be merely to incite further disorder. The example set by, Mr Lloyd-George in England is hardly one which would >appeal to the average colonial. It is only when all other means have failed that the employment of the military is warranted.
