HOME RULE.
It has been left to a Liberal member of > the-.House of .Commons to state the jreal difficulty in the' matter of Home Rule for Ireland. This is the demand of the Nationalists for an absolute and unchecked fiscal autonomy; It is easy to see how impossible such-a demand must be. That *it would, imply a disintegration of the 'limited Kingdom is almost certain, .fend with such, a contingency 'before :it, the House of Coihimons ooulS not •.possibly' pass the Bill. Even the Australian' States, which posses* local self-government, have surrendered the tvdhoie of their fiscal' Tights to the Ciomimonwealth Government. If the (Nationalists hope to secm-e , Home Rule for Ireland, they will require to tmodify their demands very considerably. * ■'-'•'
