The "rally!" held by :':e Reform Party' in * Auckland on vVedtn-esday night appears to have been,, a most enthusiastic and successful affair. The'; Speech-made by Mr.Massey was characterised by dignity and moderation. Whilst he did. not. disguise hispride at the tribute which had been paid h'im 'by the country, he made it quite clear that he recognised the great responsibilities wthich- would devolve upon him when he took control of the Government benches. His responsibility is tihe greater by reason Of the fact that he will have but a 'slender majority in 'the House, and lie will be faced with so many serious administrative and legislative problems. There is a strong feeling throughout the country that he should be given a reasonable opportunity to prove the faith that -'iij, iji him, and ,the first step which will provoke discus-sion will be the announcement of the composition of his Min- '
