I AN INTERESTING INTERVIEW ! CONDOMINIUM COURT PRESI- | DENT. (Received Last Night, 7.50 o'clock.) r SYDNEY, January 10. Tho Count of Buena Esperanza, President of the Condominium Court at tho New Hebrides, has arrived in Sydney on a health trip. In tho cnurso of an interview, tlie Count state. I till, at tho Court was working well. All criminal and civil procedure had been completed. The work, however, was greatly hampered by tho difficulties of communication. Ho advocated tho appointment of a lower Court to deal with police ease.-, and allow a joint Court to concentrate on important matters.
Referring to tho liquor controversy, tho Cou»t sUi'ted that in the'past there had been a "considerable amount of smuggling,of liquor. A large number of cases had been dealt with,.but there •had not been much sale of arms to natives. As far. as tho Court was concerned the missionaries had not given any trouble.
