The work of repairing the thrustblock of the Union Company's .steamer Mararoa, which was. fractured on Monday r evening, wias completed_ by Messrs Anderson, Ltd., this morning, and itliiC block was. removed to the vessel for fitting. Subsequently M k A. Oameron, Inspector of Machinery, inspected the work, an id expressed himself highlly pleased wiith the manner iii' which it had been done. The Marairoa will take up her usual rimning to-night .for 'Wellington, leaving Lyttelton on> the arrival of tlie 5.25 p.m. train from Ohristchurcli.
