RESCUING OF ROYALTY
SOME NARROW ESCAPES.

TANGIER, December 16. 'The- Princess. Royal asked Dr Essery (the family doctor), two passengers named McC'aul aid Bell, and; a caricaturist named Hallkett, to accompany her party. When, the boat swamped, Princess Alexandra,, BelL and Halkett were swept overboard. ,i.<> Duke cf. Fife and the Princess Royal seized princess Maud as tho beat capsized, and, with the Admivab, they were washed towards the shore. , Meaawjule, Bell' caught fcrincessAlexandra and ' : swain' with'- her until lie secured a foothold. Bluejackets assisted them ashore. Paincess Alexandra fainted on Janding. ' Dr Essery and Halkett had the narrowest escapes. The mails and luggage from the vessel are being landed.
