SYDNEY, December 15. TOio Assembly was still discussing the estimates early in the morning. The item of the Speaker's salary was tbo occasion of long and strong opposition. , , 11 ,i Comment, on the Speaker s alleged misdeeds led to an uproar, members hurling uncomplimentary epithets across the Chamber. . For a while the Deputy-Chairman of Committees was, unable to control members, and finally the item wis forced by the application of xhe clossure.
