The. .jumps for the hunters and lady'' leaping competitions and pony jumping have been, erected right in front of the grandstand, so that thlose who like this part of the show can Bee every item to advantage. Then there has been a lot of extra work i on erecting a large numibeT of cattle and sheep pens, for the cattle and dheep pens which siufficed iast year j : are quite inadequate to accommodate., the extra number of entries received J ■tihis year. Again there are the j Shearing pens and board for the j -sfoeajrfuag competition flor boyis under j 21 years of age. Mr Campbell's I £.') os, prize shoaiM be keenly competed for. Post entries will be received iip to noon on Wednesday for this competition, and also for another competition that .should commend itself to farmers' sous, viz. wool-class-ing. For the modest outlay' of 2s, Mr J. E. Thomas' £5 priae may be ivron.
