MASTErtTON.
The triennial election of Councillors for the Maisterton. County took place yesterday. ITEe polling, so far Ridings around. Master ton are concerned,, was not heavy, but the polling in the Alfredton Riding was expected to be hetivi'eir than usual. The result of the poll was not available last night, the Returning Officer (Mir F. G. Moore) being unable by law to make an announcement until! the whole of returns sk& in. CARTERTON, Lost Night
Mfese/rs F. G. Moore and- George Stevens were elected' Councillors for -the Walrairapa South County, in the IJelveoWe Riding.
Messrs F. Court and R. G. Welch were elected for the ltelefield Riiding. Messrs Jias. Hodder and Welch tied !for second place, .and Mir Welch bedng the sitting member, was elected on the casting vote of the Returning Officer.
