VISITS AN AUSTRALIAN TOWN
MUCH DAMAGE DONE.

SYDNEY, Last Night. A tornado struck the town of Oymon, near Walgett. A tlilree-thousand-gaHon tank was blown a coivsiderablo distance, and washed into the kdtohen of a hk>use, smasQiiing the walls. Tlhe station-master's dwelling was destroyed, and his wife seriously injured by the falling debris. Tlhe massive goods sheds were ■smiafih'e'd to atoms. Sheets of iron were blown for a distance of nearly a mile. A large storeroom was lifted bodily and deposited on the railway line. Many chimneys and small buildings were blown away. The damage is estimated at £2OOO.
