Mr A, MeMinn, who has 'been an inmate of the- South! Wairarapa Hospital ,fior the past fortnight, is making <a steady improvement, and will shortly be able to leave the institution .
At a meeting r.f the local Volunteer Fire Brigade on Wednesday evening, it was decided to hold a mooting of ladies on Thursday next in connection with the ibrtlheoming bazaar. Foreman G. Ma&son was presented with lias tliree yoars' service certificate. Jt was, resolved to commence practice on Mondtty evening next.

At the last meeting of the local Borough Council, Mir C. E. Miller, sianiitary inspector, ipeppnted having, made a tHi'orougih lu-Jpection of the Borough, and thtit everything was satisfactory. One com of infectious disease .had OGeurrejet during tihe month, aiul the n.e-c'csisary precaution had been taken.
