EUCHRE TOURNAMENT
AND A SUPPER.
The return euchre tourna .Ti.nrt letveen twenty mcmibersi of :he _ Masterton Fire Brigade, and a similar number from the Commercial and Farmers' Club, took place in the Club' ■■ rooms last evening, and proved a very close Jind interesting content The. brigade won by one point. Th-j results were: Club 40, Brigade 41. After the tournament the 'members of both teams adjourned to the dining hall of tlie Club, where an excellent supper was provided by the Brigade. Gardner I —Messrs Selby •and Morri,. Songs and recitation*! wens rendered by Messrs Edwards,,) Kyle and Selby. Cheers were given for Host iSmith for the splendid arrangements in connection with the' catering, and a' pleasant evening was brought to a close with tlie singing of "Anld Lang Syne."
