BUTTER-FAT COMPETITION.

CARTERTON, Last Night. The x)hampion butter-faty competition of the Wairarapa P. and A.-So-ciety was decided to-day, Mr W. Saywell, of; Dalefield, last year's winner, again carrying off the honours. His'total points this year ■were 83.31, while last year the .figures were 84.87. The competition commenced on .October 17th, and finished on October 23rd, the cowe being in tlie Society's possession six the 'test and weight taken of the last eight milkings. The awards were: One point for every lOlbs f milk, 7 .points for every lb of butterfat. The average daily yield per cow was 48.91b, 49.31b.; 49.71b, 49.9 ib and 49.81 h. Results:—
