The charge against Alfred Robert Donaldson, a- clerk in the employ of th<; Borough, of the theft of £570 arising out of a, recent robbery jjt, the corporation offices, was investi-' gated to-day by Mr S. E., MacArthy S.M. .er a lengthy hearing the Magistrate dismissed the information, stating'that the evidence showed nothing against accused beyond a mere suspicion. Recused was ad-rii-.«ed to bail in connection with two minor charges on which he was committed for trial yesterday.
