A MASTERTON MAN
FOUND IN WELLINGTON HARBOUR.
On Wednesday last the body of a young man was found .floating in tho Wellington Harbour. The body has. been identified as that of James. Gkishan, formerly of Masterton. Thesum of £lO 12s 2i was found in the pockets and a luggage ticket-, and. also an order for £4O from the Royal. Bank of Scotland, Aberdeen, on tho Bank of Nwv South Wales, Masterton The deceased, who was a single man, about thirty years of age, and. a native of Aberdeen, had been in the employ of Mr Lawrence Donald,. of Potairau, Miasterton, for six or seven years past. A few monthsage h<e went for a trip to the Old Country to see his friends, and returned on September 20th. He had been expected in Masterton for somedays. Tlie; young'■man, was a good worker, and of abstemious haibits,. land was highly respected by all who knew him. Besides the money found in his. possession, l}e,had s several hundreds of pounds invested in 'Masterton. His friends /are at a lossi to know how lie could have-got into the Harbour. An inquest is to be held torday: , : ' '.
