- • ASSISTING A FINANCIAL SETTLEMENT A BIG DRAIN ON FRANCE (Received Last Night, 10.55 o'clock.) PARIS, October 3.
The Excelsior newspaper states that Herr von Kidorlen Wachter, German Minister of Foreign Affairs, lias extracted from M. Cambon, French Ambassador in London, u promise that French Banks would assist a German financial settlement at the end of September. Accordingly, the various houses have sent £11,00Q,000 to Berlin,- the absence of which from Paris is causing some uneasiness.
