LABOUR TROUBLES.
(Received September 11, 9.5 a.m.) . SYDNEY, September 11. :: - TTiiS WaTlsend faheelers ihave declinedto accept ibhe miners' advice to return to work -arid submit their grievances to arbitration. The Employers' Federation called a meeting of the Wallsend Lodge, at which a ballot was taken on the question of the miners doing the wheeling. This they refused. A ballot of the whole of the members of the' Federation on the subject is now being taken. Should the result be against the miners doing their own wheeling, the position will be extremely grave. (Received September 11, 9.30 a.m.) PERTH, September 11. Owing to the strike of bricklayers at Perth a complete stoppage of building operations is likely. (Received September 11,10.30 a.m.) \ SYDNEY, September 11. The strike of wheat handlers means that over a million bags stacked in the country will now have to wait disposal by the wool traffic. (Received September 11,10.30 a.m.) PERTH, September 11. The proprietors of the Collie Burn Mine, declining further concessions to the miners, have olosed down the mine.
