SEPTEMBER WOOL SALES.
. __ The future of the wool trade is being ; regarded witli a good 'deal of anxiety' i by growers in New Zealand, conisequent upon the industrial unrest and •grave potecul situation in the Old Country. It would appear that itftere is no very clear indication of whiat the future will be.. A circular issued from the London office of iMJessffs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., on' July 26th, isays:— "As regards the future of tthle 'market there' is at pi-esent no very clear indication. So far as Septemtber is concerned, we look, at any rate, for fairly steady values, and it is possible there might be some adivjanoe, especially if Ameriaan demland should inci-eaiSe. The selling in Australia seems to oe lopenolng rather earlier than usual, and as reports point to some further increase in production, prices in Australia may slliow some reduction wthfiioh would probably be reflected in the January sales here."
