WAEtABAPA BAOING CLUB. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Racing Club was held in' the" Foresters' JEall, Greytown, on Tlrurs- i day. I About 16 members were present, and Mr J. S. Cundy was voted to the chair. , The chairman in moving the •adoption of the report and balance-sheet which was f<aken as read, referred to; the improvements proposed for the coming year, more particularly as providing accommodation on the lawn.; Mr W. J. Nix,seconded the motion,' which was carried. Mr Q. Donald proposed and Mr T. Benton seconded, that a sum not, exceeding £4OOO be allotted tfor states. In accordance with notice given the chairmat proposed that the following words be added to rule 8:—All persons elected as members of the Club after December Ist, 1911, shall pay an entrance fee of £2.-j-Mr Q. Donald seconded pro forma. After general discussion it was resolved that the matter stand ovet until the next annual meeting. It was resolved that it be a recommendation to the incoming stewards to assist those who are combating the anti-sport legislation. Officers were elected as follows 4 . President, Mr H. S. Wardell; VicePresidents, Messrs W. E. Bidwill, Q. Donald, and J. S. Cundy; Judge, Mr W. H. Hartgill; Deputy-Judge, Mr J. W. Card; Time-keeper, Mr T. Benton; Hon. Treasurer. Mr A. J. Toogood; Auditors, G. W. Cobb and C. J. Kent-Johnston; Hon. Surgeons, Drs. Wm. Bey and A. E. Palmer; Stewards, Messrs J. W. Card, H. Morison, T. Benton, A. G. Tyler, T. Ineley, and A. McKenzie. Votes of thanks were accorded to the officials and the Secretary, for their services to the Club. A similar compliment to the chairman terminated the meeting.
