ASHORE AT GULF OF ADEN

SYDNEY, August 15
The steamer Fifeshire, which is ashore at the mouth of the Gulf of Aden, took twenty-three passengers and a large quantity of cargo from Sydney. Tlio cargo is insured locally for between £20,000 and £30,0C0, distributed over many offices.

QUITO, August 15. The tug-bot Timaco was wrecked at Emerald. • Forty persons were drowned.
