HARBOUR BOARD ELECTIONS.

QUESTION TO BE CONSIDERED.

Mr A. W. Hogg, M.P., recently asked the Government whether they proposed to amend the present system of .election, to Harbour Boards. He has .received the following reply : ' 'The question, as to amending the. present.-system of the election to Baa-hour Boards is under consideration', and, m eonmection with this, the various Harbour 'Boards have been asked to let the Department (have any suggested amendments which they think should he made in. the Harbours Acts. Aa soon as their .suggestions are received, -they will 'be considered, and the question of introducing a Bill to amend the Acts will then bo dealt with."
