M'astertoiu to the north/ anoe or twice a weak, tbe Minister for Railways says : "Special goods trains arc rum between Mastcirton and Woodville to meet emiergenoy traffic only. The days upon which the train® will ihe required are (therefore OMioarfcaini, and it would not suit the .requirements of tlhe Ibusimes's to fix the running for certain days of the week and to adhere thereto. Such a. procedure would involve • additional special® .being laid on to meet emergencies, while oni the regular days the gooda trains would in ■ mamy cases have to he ic-amoelled, or run at a loss. If cancelled, public snc.onvenie.nae would .result. I regret that, after having looked carefully into the matter, I am unable to give a favourable reply to the request."
