WAIRARAPA HOSPITAL & CHARITABLE AID BOARD.
ORDINARY MEETING.
The ordinary bi-monthly meeting of tho Wairarapa Hospital an<l Charitable Aid Board was held in Masterton yesterday, there being present —Messrs E. G. Eton (chairman), W. Fisher, F. W. H. Rummer, A. D. Mcleod, G. T. Bennett, Murray J. H. Jackson, A. J. Speedy, J. W. ! Murray, ,D. J. Cameron, R. F. Bee-*b!am,-aiwl J. C. Eiwington. Apologies for aosence were received from Messrs Welch, Betham, • MoOaa-dle, and Moore. , The Treasurer reported receipts since las* meeting amounting to £1390 7s 7d, and expenditure £1164 16s 9d, leaving a credit at date (in.v eluding the credit of £1384 17s lid from tho previous meeting), amounting to jll*l6 8s 7d. The distribution of balancos was as follows: — Maintenance account, £466 3s 6d; St. John Ambulance account, £10 ; .capital account £1340 5® Id. The- seal was affixed to the agreement between Mr. Buchanan and the Board, in regard to the Home for Insurables at Gpeytown. • " The Commissioner of' Crown Lands wrote in reference to the land" upon vtoEch/ the Masterton . Hospital J ®tc"od,' and suggesting ~ ihat it be • vested in the- Board.— It- was decided to in/struct the Board's solicitor to prepare £. transfer. The secretary of the Hospital and Cinwitable Aid Department forwarded pamphlets concerning the duties of Boards of Health. ' Dr Frengley wrote, suggesting • th&t the Board purchase a motor cycle for Inspector Cairns.— It was decided to adhere to the original agreement that the Department provide the motor cycle. A suggested agreement between the ; Board and the various County Council® in -the district, for the conr ttibutiom' , of £1 each, towards tihe. oost of the Health Inspectors, was approved, and ordered to be sent to the County Councils. •Messrs Aitkfins and Baconi, archiitects, wrote in' reference to tenders ' for the Buohlanan Home. Dr Frengley advised the .Board - ' that subsidies to Medical Association's would continue to be pair direct from the Department, as at present. ; The Maatianiborough, Tpwii Board; wrote in! reference to tihe proposed ' ambulance waggon f■.:£". that district. The Treasury remitted a fee of £1 for the maintenance of the late Mr J. Montgomery in the Masterton Hospital. , . The Secretary of the Hospital Department (Dr Frengley) forwarded a scheme of proposed contributions by .
