A CLEARING SALE

PALMERSTON N., Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—We held a very successful clearing sale for Mr O'Callaghan, at the farm, Aorangi, on Wednesday, the 26th inst. The herd of 34 dairy cows that was submitted was particularly choice, most of them being well into the Jersey, and calving early. Prices ranged from £5 to £l4 ss, the whole herd realising the good average of £9 12s per head. The 'springing heifers made £lO per head. Pigs: Boar, los; sows, 20s to 23s j weaners. 7s 6d to Bs.

CLEARING SALE OF DAIRY STOCK.

Messrs Abraham aaid -Williams. Ltd.. report having held on behalf of Mr J G. Brechin'at his farm, Konini, n, highly successful sale of dairy stock, horses, etc. The cowr were a particularly good lot. the bulk of them being vb'u.ing and well into the Jersey strain. Their condition, however, was only fair, which militated to some extent better, prices being obtained. Notwithstanding this, they Isold exceptionally well, the highest price realised being £l4 15s. and made the satisfactory average price of £8 6s 6d, Purebred Jersey cow Sybil Magnet, realised £l9: heifers in calf. £5 7s 6d to 1 £6 15s; bulls, ££ 10s to £9: horses. £9 10k to £l3; sow, £2 5s to £3; milk cans, sundries, etc., at good prices.
