A SATISFACTORY YEAR

At the annual meetting of the Australian, Back of Commerce, it was shown that the net profits for the year wore £14,957, to which is added 5 an undivided profit of £3546, making £18,504 available for distribution.. A dividend of 2£ per cent, was declared, absorbing £14,550. The balance of £3954 ws> carried forward. The 'business showed a satisfactory growth compared with the previous year. Admnces increased by £505,003. Deposiibs on. current accounts increased by £454,758. Gold stocks and other securities had increased by ; £230,000. The chairman stated that the land tax was having a more severe effect than was anticipated. The Federal notes tax did not have a very material effect.
