THOIBPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
Despite ...o wet weather there was a good attendance at the Foresters' Hall last -evoning, to witness the iseoond presentation of th© current programme. Tho series of pictures shown* are certainly, the best- that, have foe&ri., sejqn, isome time. The dramas are a powerful lot, -tho abLctf ones ibcimg 'Messina" (a .tale of the old (Roman days, and a beautdful coloured study), , 0 Ranch," (a,cpw■boy si)Ory); and "Joanna of Bnaganr. za" (a historical picture of tlio days of the war between Spain and Portugal. ''The Drunkard's Reformation" ivias a vivid photo play, cleverly handled and excellently interpreted. "Misses Finch, and Billy" was a capital picture which kept the audience in roars of laughter. "The Rapids of , Magdipis" and "The Waterfalls. of Sarpaborg" were two beatutiful scenic©, the colouring being lovely. "Impudence PUnished" was a screaming comedy, while the ' "Baolie Equitiibiists" was a clever music hall turn. The programme will „be. repeated;thjs evening for-the last time. ; ' ;;/'■•■.' The prog^totheto-mom>w night, will comprise" a- number of spfondwT subjects, inoMding the following:— ''Blue Horse Mine'V (a thriljing In'doan drama), "A Gatnbler of the] ••' Weslt,", (a. cowboy stioi-y), -''Who*ELlli ed' John/' v,'!'Eelly's; QQurtship," ,(charming, com-,, edy), ''TheMa^ Vdtagrfaiphi comedy), "The Healing Faith" (a delightful romance), and "Foolehead at a Feast." .
