(Received July 20. 8.25 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 19

In connection with the Los Angeles dynamite outrage charges the efforts made to commit Mrs McManigal fot contempt of court for refusing to givo evidence against the McNamaras at the Grand Jury investigation failed, the judge holding .that the woman was not bound to testify as she was the wife of one of the accused persons, McManigal. The evidence just published contains an alleged confession by James McNamara to McManigal. admitting that McNamara destroyed the Los Angeles Times building.

This confession is said to have been made in November last.
